You Are Not Alone!
My Journey in
Foster Care.

This is a book based on truthful events of my time in foster care. Foster care is some thing that isn’t talked about as often as it should be, and I’ve always wanted to help others in any way I can. This book is a way to help kids and Teens understand their situation a little better, and to give them some hope that life goes on and that they can still find beauty and happiness in a situation that seems sad.

This book is also a way to educate people who don’t quite know what it means to be in foster care, or what it means to be a foster child. My hope is that not only will this book give people in foster care some reassurance that they are not alone, but for it to also be a way for people who are able, to think about becoming foster parents or adopting children or teens who are in the system.

My Journey

My experience in foster care was probably different than most, however, it's

played a huge part--if not the biggest part--in where I am in my life today.

These illustrations are just a snippet of my journey in foster care.

It's Difficult Being in Foster Care

In Michigan alone there are about 14,000 kids and teens in foster care on any given day, and around 20,000 nationwide are in the system until the age of 18-21.
I encourage everyone to educate themselves on the foster care system, and think about donating or even becoming a foster parent themselves!
Below are a few links that can help educate on the foster care system.
